The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released provisional results of the 2020 West African Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

“This follows the completion of all post-examination processes,” WAEC said in a statement on Friday, November 13.

“The results of the candidates will be dispatched to their schools.”

Candidates have, therefore, been advised to contact their heads of school for their results.

The 2020 WASSCE began on July 20, 2020 with 375,763 candidates from 976 schools.

“The provisional results indicate that there were improvements in the performance of candidates at Grades A1 to C6 in English Language and Mathematics (Core) in 2020 as compared to 2019.

“On the other hand, Integrated Science and Social Studies recorded a decline in the performance of the candidates at Grades A1 to C6 as compared to 2019.”

WAEC says the subject results of 2,383 candidates have been cancelled for “engaging in collusion, bringing foreign material to the examination hall and tearing part of their question paper to solicit assistance”.

The entire results of 480 candidates have also been cancelled for bringing mobile phones to the exam hall.

The entire results of 384 candidates have also been withheld  pending conclusion of investigations into various cases of exam malpractice detected during and after the conduct of the examinations.

Scripts of candidates in about 122 schools in certain subjects are said to be undergoing scrutiny.

“The withheld results of candidates may be cancelled or released based on the outcome of the investigations,” the statement signed by Head of Public Affairs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe said.

A Ghanaian lady identified as Emfa has claimed that the late Professor Atta Mills has sent her to resurrect Rawlings from death else Ghana will be spell doom.

According to the lady in an a phone interview with Angel FM, she is from Dawa, a village in Volta Region and Atta Mills has told her that the spirit of Rawlings is hanging in the air so she should act fast and wake him up before 12 am else Ghana will be in a total danger henceforth.

The lady who looked sad while speaking said she saw Atta Mills sitting in a car wearing black attaire.

However, she said since she arrived at the house of the late president, she has not been given the chance to get privy to the deceased.

The painful exist of the late Angela Boamah Amoah brought in a lot of news across Ghana….

Many were claiming she was used for Money rituals by her sakawa boyfriend but later the family of the late Angela said it in various interviews that their daughter died of cancer.

The guy whom they said he is the sakawa boy also said in an interview that he doesn’t even have television in his room so whatever they are saying is not true and can never be true.

Now, It is said that the late Angela Amoah’s love ones will pay their last respect to her on the 8th of November 2020, Which is tomorrow to let her rest in Peace in Kwamo. A town within Ejisu constituency.

Vicedailynews.com visit the town as we notice how sorrowful the town is now. Most people in the town still can’t and don’t want to believe that 18-year old Angela is dead.

After the death of the 18 year old Angela, it has been all over the internet by some bloggers claiming the girl was used by her boyfriend for money rituals (sakawa) which is not true.

A recorded audio was attached by a video of the 18 year old Angela pops up after her death by her very good friend who shared it on various social media that her friend was used for money rituals so ladies now adays should be very careful about the kind of guy they deal with.

After family and love once of the late Angela came across the audio alongside with the video, out of pains they started ruining curses on anyone who claim their beloved one was used for money rituals.

Sikapa, who happens to be the late Angie’s big sister explained it on her WhatsApp status that anything that the bloggers are saying about her late sister not true so people shouldn’t believe in it. She added to it that her little sister died of a long sickness.

Ohene kwesi Yeboah who happens to be the Youths favourite presenter has got another nomination in the up coming Teens awards after resigning from this year’s edition due to some personal reasons.

Presenter for Hiskul Xtv, Radio 9gh, Focus TV and also CEO of Ohene shot it said it in an interview that it was due to some two or three reasons that’s why he stepped down in this year’s awards. He also added to it that people, most especially his strong fan base were not happy about his decision but he find a way to calm them down.

After he got nomination in 2021 edition he said it to his viewers, listeners, followers and also his strong fan base that it’s going to be our year and we must conquer.

He promised that he is not going to let them down as it happen this year but he can’t win it without their support.

He pleaded to the public that, they should all put their maximum support to help their favourite presenter to win next year’s edition. It has been their support and love that has really made him reached this level. And this time he needed them much because the awards doesn’t depends on your followers or listeners but rather huge amount of votes you gain from your people. So his people across Ghana and beyond should vote as much they can when voting starts for him to win.

On Tuesday 13th of October 2020, NPP supporters Union in Ashanti region met Vice President Dr. Bawumia at Bonwire for sod cutting of Bonwire kente museum.

During the ceremonial time, A young guy (name withheld) who happen to be a brand ambassador for Free SHS in his constituency, which from report is Ejisu constituency was in his school uniform and having his school bag, mattress, Trank and chop box alongside with his friends in a car which signifies that he is being taken to school.

Their car moved from the ceremonial grounds straight to the entrance of Bonwire senior high school to have a little display of free SHS advert.

During the display, the young Guy (name withheld) cried when the security told them that they should send him back home or to different school all because he didn’t report to School on time.

A groom has set tongues wagging for fixing the DSTV dish of a client on his wedding day

The groom, identified as Mr Effun-Atteh who resides in Cape Coast was on his way to his wedding received a call from a client to fix his DSTV.

Despite the fact that it a was big day for him, he left his beautiful bride waiting as he moves swiftly to the client’s house to get the decoder fixed.

Though he was late for his wedding, he still had time to fix the DSTV and take some pictures with the neighbours who were amazed by his selflessness.

The Savannah Regional Police Command has arrested the Chief of Kafaba, Zackaria Yahaya, over the lynching of 90-year-old Akua Denteh.

According to the regional commander, DCOP Enock Adutwum Bediako, the chief was picked up around 10:00 am and sent to the Salaga police station for interrogation.

We are interrogating him to know the side of his story and after that, we will see the outcome,” he told Citi News.

“Apart from him no arrests have been made but with the arrest of the chief, I know he will assist police for us to get the other suspects,” DCOP Bediako said.

There had been calls for the arrest of the chief by the family of the victim.

The family maintains that the chief had some knowledge of the activities of the soothsayer who singled Akua Denteh out with witchcraft claims.

The son of the victim, Dominic Mahama Saaka, said the chief failed to take any action when they reported the issue to him.

After her death, when the family went back to the chief, Dominic Saaka claimed that “the chief said that is the will of God.”

The soothsayer is wanted by police, alongside two others.

Dominic Saaka said that the women had raided Akua Denteh’s home two times before the day she was lynched, on Thursday, July 23.

Experts from the National Police headquarters were deployed to the Savannah Region to hunt down the perpetrators of the incident.

The police have placed a bounty of GHS2,000 on the perpetrators.

The incident was captured on camera and went viral sparking public outrage.
